Inbound processing is the first step in the fulfilment flow. Getting it right from the start helps avoid inventory inaccuracies and searching for items later on.
How Our Inbound Process Works
Goods are pre-advised, received at the warehouse, and checked against the advance notice. Items are registered, assigned or checked against article numbers, and placed in their storage locations. Any discrepancies against the advance notice are reported back to you.
Preparing Your Inbound Shipment
- Pre-advise us: what is coming, how much, and when.
- Label all cartons with article numbers and quantities.
- Preferably, avoid mixing multiple articles in the same unlabelled carton.
- Include a packing list that accurately matches the goods being delivered.
- Notify us if anything requires special handling.
Common Reasons for Delayed Inbound Processing
Unlabelled goods, incorrect packing lists, and deliveries arriving without advance notification are the most common reasons why inbound processing takes longer than planned. The better your preparation, the faster your goods will be ready for sale.

Can goods come directly from my supplier?
Yes, it's common for inbound shipments to come directly from manufacturers or wholesalers. The advance notice and packing list will then need to come from you or your supplier.
What happens if the quantities don't match?
Any discrepancies against the advance notice will be reported to you, so you can follow up with your supplier.
